SHARE IN OUR JOURNEY
Our Story
After a few decades, a few plot twists, a little heartbreak, and more than a little life experience, we somehow found each other at exactly the right time.
So now here we are, gathering the people we love at the base of a mountain for a weekend with a small group of friends and family that culminates in an exchange of vows that feels very “us”: outdoor beauty, relaxed, slightly overthought schedule options, deeply intentional, and involving good food, good drinks, laughter, and likely at least one conversation about AI, health care, or hummingbirds (among other things).

Speak at Our Ceremony
While a few folks will stand with us - each of you means so much to us. Fully optional - prior to the exchange of vows we will ask if anyone would like to share their thoughts with the group.
Since we're all in this together and may run long, we'd ask for sincerity with brevity, as we offer each of you a moment to share memories, observations, and/or statements of support as full participants in our ceremony.

SHARE YOUR PHOTOS
You are our photographers!
Prior to and during the event - we invite you to share photos with us. We want photos of packing, traveling, and enjoying time with us at the venue and around town. We intend to compile a digital and physical book of memories versus a formal wedding album, made up entirely of photos taken and/or submitted by us and our guests!
Answers to Common Questions
We've already had several people ask for information and want to provide a few basics below. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we're missing any details and we'll update information here on the site as we get closer to our gathering.
Nov Temps/Weather
Expect temperatures to be in the 70s during the day, and the 50s-60s at night. Light jackets are recommended for evenings around the fire or early mornings. We typically do not get rain during November, so sunscreen may be more appropriate than umbrellas.
"What can we do to help? What do you need?"
We'll need assistance from folks staying at the house with setup on Saturday (easy/light/simple stuff).
We'll need assistance from folks grabbing pre-planned meals/catering pick-ups. We're saving some $ and doing the driving ourselves. We'll send info shortly before the gathering.
Dress Code
While Carey and Tim will dress up for the evening of the exchange of vows, the rest of the time we will be casual dress and outer wear. See colors if you'd like to join in - but please don't feel pressed to dress up.
The venue has a full gym, lap pool (swimming), and jogging in the area should be amazing. Again, light jackets or warmer clothes for evenings around the fire may be helpful as temps can drop at night in the desert.
Colors
For the exchange of vows, Carey is wearing a navy dress and heels. Tim, will be in navy and dark tans, likely in dress boots (western).
Other colors, deep reds, maroons, whites and cremes, or - anything honestly - are welcome.
Dress "you" and we'll love it!
